Manchester United Will Bid For Benjamin Sesko, Newcastle Monitoring The Situation
Manchester United have informed RB Leipzig that a formal offer for Benjamin Sesko is on the way. The Slovenian striker has been linked with a Premier League move all summer, and United consider him a key addition for the 2024/25 campaign.

Newcastle United are also monitoring Sesko closely as they prepare for a potential departure of Alexander Isak. Sesko nearly joined Arsenal last summer but opted to stay in Germany. However, with the Gunners now pursuing Viktor Gyokeres instead, the 22-year-old has shifted focus to a move to one of Arsenal’s Premier League rivals — United or Newcastle.
RB Leipzig value Sesko at around €70 million, and Manchester United are confident they can strike a deal with the German club for the talented forward.

Meanwhile, United are still open to offloading Rasmus Højlund, despite the Danish striker showing promise in pre-season. Manager Ruben Amorim reportedly wants to work with a striker in the mould of Sesko, alongside another forward like Joshua Zirkzee.
Although no formal bids have arrived yet for Højlund, United are pressing ahead with plans for reinforcements up front, expecting movement in the striker position later in the window.
Newcastle are also eyeing alternatives such as Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson and Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins — contingent on whether Liverpool can agree a deal with the Magpies for Alexander Isak.
