- Bournemouth 0-3 Arsenal
- Odegaard Maturing well under Arteta
Arsenal sealed their 3rd win of the new EPL campaign against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday. The Gunners were incredibly impressive again as they move to the top of the table.
Match Summary
Arsenal cruised to a 3-0 win over Bournemouth. Their bright start to the game saw Odegaard score twice in the opening 11 minutes. He turned the first into an empty net after latching onto Martinelli’s saved shot before rifling in his second. Arsenal were in control from that point. Saliba sealed the points early in the second half with a wonderful curling effort into the top corner. Jesus thought he’d made it 4-0, but VAR ruled it out for a tight offside.
Odegaard Maturing Nicely Under Mikel Arteta
Although, he was recently appointed the captain of the team, since sealing his move to Arsenal, Odegaard has developed in every aspect of his game. The Norwegian was brought in at a young age by Real Madrid, he now looks like the player Los Blancos thought he could be, under Mikel Arteta.
The Spanish coach has built his team around the midfielder. His two goals against Bournemouth also shows a player growing in confidence and ability. Every single game he looks more in-sync with the two “Gabriels” up front for Arsenal. Odegaard, Saka, Gabriel Jesus, and Martinelli look like the real deal this campaign. Hopefully the Norwegian can be the glue of that holds the Quartet even in bad games this campaign.
Impressive from them but they yet to face a real opposition this season..
