Chelsea’s appointment of Mauricio Pochettino is reportedly too late to change the mind of midfielder Mason Mount about a move away from the club.
The West Londoners offered the midfielder a one-year extension deal back in February, which he rejected, and it’s now looking even more certain that he will leave the club despite the appointment of the former Spurs coach.
The Blues reportedly offered him the one-year deal to increase his transfer fee, so the club can get a good value in the market.
With Chelsea willing to cash-in on Mount, clubs like Arsenal and Liverpool are very keen on signing him.
Pochettino reportedly likes Mason Mount and would want him to remain at the club, but it could be too little too late from for the Argentine gaffer.
With Christopher Nkunku arriving next season, and the possibility of Pochettino signing another midfielder, it is highly possible that Mount has played his last game for Chelsea.
He needs a new challenge obviously..
