- Pochettino already targets two new players to improve his Chelsea side
New Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has approved Chelsea’s move for two transfer targets this summer. The former Spurs boss signed a 3-year contract to become Chelsea’s new boss on Saturday after months of speculations.
The Argentine has approved for Chelsea to target midfielder Manuel Ugarte and Juventus’s Dusan Vlahovic.
Vlahovic is interested in a move to Chelsea after struggling to score goals for a Juventus this season. He would prefer a move to Chelsea, as Juventus will also miss out on UCL football after their 10-point deduction.
According to Goal.com, Pochettino wants the Serbian striker for the brand of football that he wants to implement at Chelsea. He wants the former Fiorentina man to compliment the exciting talents the West London side already have.
He has also given approved Chelsea’s move for Manuel Ugarte. The Blues have made a move for the Uruguayan, who is also wanted by PSG.
According to multiple sources, Ugarte favours a move to the Premier League, but still has to choose between PSG, a club that can offer him UCL football consistently and Chelsea, who are trying to rebuild their side.
Ugarte is valued around €60M, PSG and Chelsea are ready to discuss a structured deal with Sporting Lisbon, and a deal for Ugarte to either PSG or Chelsea will likely be sealed early this summer.
