The NFL action continues this weekend with the playoffs looming large on the horizon. We take a look at some of the big matchups for week 13.

JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS VS LA RAMS

The Jaguars didn’t give up against Atlanta last week despite falling behind 21-3. However, their failed attempt at a game-tying drive left a lot to be desired. The Rams are no better at the moment. The situation is a complete mess. Jalen Ramsey isn’t himself and the Rams fans have been left confused. Unless the situation improves soon, Los Angeles will find itself fighting for a playoff spot. This matchup with Jacksonville should provide the Rams with some much-needed respite, but only for this week.

Tossyard Prediction – Rams 34 Jaguars 13

ARIZONA CARDINALS VS CHICAGO BEARS

Star Quarterback Kyler Murray should return for the Cardinals after missing the last threes games. While the team performed well through his injury absence, he is still extremely vital. The Cardinals aren’t as dynamic unless he’s on the field. With Murray returning, the Cardinals should have a clear advantage over a Bears team that still doesn’t have a locked-in quarterback.

Chicago are 4-7 yet the Bears have every reason to be hopeful. At the moment they are one game off the NFL playoff spot. Andy Dalton did just enough to beat the Lions last week. He has shown that he can be competent at the very least. To defeat the Cardinals, the Bears will need much more than competence.

Tossyard Prediction – Cardinals 27 Bears 15

Kansas City Chiefs vs Denver Broncos

A victory for the Chiefs will separate them from the rest of the chasing pack. They seem to be back on the boil after an inconsistent start to the season. The Broncos (6-5) have rushed for over 140 yards in two of their last three games and could test the Kansas City defense. Denver’s defense is also on the rise, forcing at least one turnover in each of its last four games. Kansas City is the better team by far but the Broncos could get some joy by taking advantage of any potential Mahomes interception.

Tossyard Prediction – Chiefs 26 – Broncos 14

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Atlanta Falcons

The Falcons lost to Tampa Bay by double digits earlier in the season. Judging by the state of play for the Falcons so far, it’s hard to bet against a repeat. Atlanta did manage to defeat the disappointing Jaguars last week. Tampa Bay’s defense could focus on stopping Matt Ryan who plays behind an average offensive line. Atlanta are in the midst of the playoff chase but haven’t put up a dominant performance all season.

Tossyard Prediction -Tampa Bay 32 – Falcons 20
