- Julien Naglesmann tipped to replace Graham Potter
Chelsea sacked Graham Potter, one day after The Blues lost at home to Aston Villa 2-0. The club confirmed in a statement that the former Brighton manager has left the club on Sunday afternoon. Chelsea endured a torrid time under Graham Potter, especially in the Premier League. The Blues only scored 21 times in 7 months under the English manager, and also regressed from 5th to 11th on the Premier League table.
Julian Nagelsmann is @ (3/10) to become the new Chelsea boss, just days after he lost his job with Bayern Munich. Out of all possible replacements for Graham Potter, Chelsea board members rate the German highly. There are also board members who are huge fans of Luis Enrique.
Chelsea fans slightly favour the Spaniard, and this is not surprising given his successful time with Barcelona. Ruben Amorim is also admired by many at the club, but he isn’t the favorite to take over. Former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is also not part of the discussions yet.
Former Brighton player and current assistant coach at Chelsea, Bruno Saltor will take over the next couple of matches before Chelsea appoint the next manager. Many believe that Saltor could be the interim manager till the end of the season, as that will give Boehly and his team more time to evaluate possible replacements for Graham Potter.
Chelsea are still in the Champions League with a quarter-final tie against Real Madrid coming up, winning the UCL is Chelsea’s only hope of qualifying for the tournament next season.
They should appoint Enrique it will be great to have Him in the EPL
