Premier League Matchweek 38, Finally! The last day of the 2024/25 English Premier League season rolled in with teams like Chelsea, Manchester City, Newcastle, Nottingham Forest, and Aston Villa still vying for a place in the UEFA Champions League. The drama did not disappoint as two teams missed out and three others qualified for the Champions League alongside Liverpool and Arsenal.
Crystal Palace ended the season on a high. On the last day, they drew 1-1 away at Liverpool. West Ham won 3-1 away at Ipswich.
Brighton and Hove Albion defeated newly crowned Europa League Champions Tottenham 4-1 in North London, while Wolves and Brentford shared the spoils at the Molineux.

Colwill became Chelsea’s hero on the day away at the City Ground. The Blues needed a win, and Colwill commanded the defence alongside Tosin Adarabioyo. The left-footed English defender also scored Chelsea’s only goal as they sealed a top-four finish and returned to the Champions League.
Ilkay Gundogan
This season did not go the way Gundogan thought it would when he returned to Manchester City from Barcelona. However, Gundogan made sure City will play UCL football next season by scoring an overhead kick to give his side the lead against Fulham and then winning a penalty to help secure the three points.
Antoine Semenyo
Semenyo has had an incredible season at Bournemouth. The Ghanaian forward scored twice as Bournemouth saw off relegated Leicester City on the final day of the season. The Ghanaian will likely be linked with a move away this summer after scoring 11 times in the Premier League this season.
Jack Hinshelwood
Hinshelwood scored the winner for Brighton last week against Liverpool. This week, he spoiled Tottenham Hotspur’s party mood with a brace on the final day as Fabian Hürzeler’s men thrashed the newly crowned Europa League champions 4-1 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
