It’s early days, but we have decided to come up with our Tossyard Premier League Team of the Season so far.
Despite winning their first five games, no Liverpool players feature in this XI, and the striker slot is occupied by Manchester City’s Erling Haaland.
Goalkeeper: Nick Pope (Newcastle) earns his place after keeping five clean sheets in seven games, building on his strong start.
7 matches, 5 clean sheets 🧤❌

Defence:
- Right-back: Jurrien Timber (Arsenal) has impressed with goals, assists, and defensive solidity.
- Centre-backs: Marcos Senesi (Bournemouth) and Marc Guehi (Crystal Palace) make the list. Senesi’s assist contributions help his case, while Guehi’s consistency keeps him in the side.
- Left-back: James Garner (Everton) is a surprise inclusion. Though only three of his starts have been at full-back, his form has forced the conversation.
Midfield and Attack:
- Right wing: Mohammed Kudus (Tottenham) has had a fine start to the season, with 1 goal and 4 assists.
- Central midfielders: Granit Xhaka (Sunderland) and Moises Caicedo (Chelsea) earn recognition for their influence and defensive work. Caicedo, in particular, has been outstanding at the heart of Chelsea’s midfield.
- Left wing: Antoine Semenyo (Bournemouth) – six goals and three assists already this season, and several dazzling performances.
- Attacking midfield: Jack Grealish (Everton) – The Man City loanee has returned to his old self, scoring once and setting up 4 goals in just 7 appearances.
When Jack Grealish scored his stoppage time winner, The Hill Dickinson Stadium apparently recorded 159db level – the loudest in Premier League history!
