Nigeria will hope to qualify for the Knockout round of AFCON 2022 today when they face Sudan in Garoua.

Nigeria started their AFCON journey with an impressive 1-0 win over Egypt. However, Sudan could only fashion a 0-0 draw against Guinea-Bissau in their opening match. A win today will see Nigeria all but guarantee a place in the Knockout rounds of AFCON 2022.

Austin Eguavoen’s side are the favorites and are also expected to beat the 33rd ranked team in Africa convincingly today.

The only positive result for Nigeria will be a convincing victory. Also, after their performance against Egypt, The Super Eagles will hope to send another message to their rivals by dispatching Sudan convincingly.
