Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski hopes the German club does not block a summer move away from the club. Lewandowski wants to leave, and he has made that clear again in a press conference today.

“My story at Bayern is over. After everything that has happened in recent months, I cannot imagine further good cooperation.

“Bayern is a serious club and I hope they will not keep me just because they can. A transfer is the best solution for all parties.”

Lewandowski wants to move to Barcelona this summer, with Xavi also confirming that the Polish striker is an option for the Catalans.

It is unclear what Bayern Munich will want to do regarding Lewandowski. The Bavarians want to sign Liverpool’s Sadio Mane, but if Lewandowski leaves, they will need to add much more firepower to their ranks.

There have been talks about the club chiefs not respecting Robert Lewandowski enough in contractual negotiations. However, Bayern Munich CEO Oliver Kahn claims Lewandowski did not help matters with his statement.

“I cannot tell you Why Robert chose this way. ” “Such public statements aren’t helpful for anybody involved.

“Robert has won the title as the best footballer of the year twice in a row, he should know what Bayern means to him. Appreciation is not considered a one-way street.”

Barcelona lead the way, as they are the Polish striker’s preferred destination. However, clubs like Chelsea, PSG, and Manchester United are also monitoring the situation.
