Two players from the 2022 UCL finalists teams look set to leave their club after yesterday’s match. Sadio Mane and Marcelo have played their last matches for Liverpool and Real Madrid, respectively.
Sadio Mane To Leave Liverpool
Fabrizio Romano confirmed Mane has decided to leave the club after the UEFA Champions League final. The Senegalese star wants a new challenge this summer. Bayern Munich are interested in signing the former Southampton striker. Real Madrid are also looking at the possibility of signing the Liverpool forward who has one year left on his contract.
Sadio Mane has had a remarkable six-year stay in Merseyside, winning every major honor available to collect with the club.
Marcelo Says Goodbye
Real Madrid stalwart Marcelo Vieira has confirmed that he will leave Los Blancos this summer. The 34-year-old will bring an end to his 15-year stay in the Spanish Capital that yielded 25 major trophies. The Brazilian stated after Real Madrid’s win over Liverpool – “Yes, this was my last game with Real Madrid”
It is unclear where Marcelo will play next season. A return to Brazil to play for Fluminense could be on the cards.
Luka Modric Extends
Luka Modric has signed a one-year extension with Real Madrid after their UCL triumph against Liverpool in Paris.
Modric will stay till at least next summer as Real Madrid and Carlo Ancelotti still consider him to be one of the best midfielders in the World, despite his age.
