Los Blancos Attacker Vinícius Júnior Won’t Renew Real Madrid Contract Amid Talks Hefty Salary Demands and a Rift Between The Brazilian and Xabi Alonso.
According to The Athletic, Vinícius Júnior has called off contract renewal talks with Real Madrid amid rumours of a rift between the Brazilian and manager Xabi Alonso.

Real Madrid dropped points away from home against Elche last night, and Vinícius Júnior started the game on the bench. The Brazilian later came on, but he could not help Los Blancos secure victory at the Manuel Martinez Velero stadium.
Vinícius Júnior Is Unsure of Real Madrid Future But Want’s Ronaldo’s Wage
Real Madrid started contractual talks with Vinicius in January, and one of the reasons why the club failed to agree a new deal with Vini was because the Brazilian who currently earns €18 million rejected a €2 million pay raise and demanded €30 million – a figure only Cristiano Ronaldo has ever been offered in the history of the club.
The Athletic also reports that Vinícius Júnior, whose current contract ends in 2027, decided to put all contractual negotiations on hold for now, because he does not feel the club and manager Xabi Alonso are giving him the same importance he enjoyed under Carlo Ancelotti.
Vinicius has only completed 90 minutes 5 times in his last 17 appearances for Real Madrid, and that has increased his frustrations with the manager.

The genesis of Vinicius’s rift with Xabi Alonso reportedly started in Real Madrid’s embarrassing 4-0 loss against PSG in the semi-final of the FIFA Club World Cup, and the relationship hasn’t improved since.
This news has alerted a host of Premier League clubs to the possibility of signing one of the best wingers in the world. Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United, and also French giants Paris St Germain are all clubs that people have linked with the tricky Brazilian in the past, and a relationship breakdown between Vinicius and Real Madrid presents a perfect opportunity for clubs to pounce.
