Zinedine Zidane has hailed Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham after an impressive start to life at Real Madrid.
The 20-year-old Englishman has taken to life in Spain quite easily and has been the best player in the Spanish top division so far this season.
Speaking to Mundo Deportivo, Zidane called Bellingham an “unbelievable player” who does “unbelievable things”.
Jude Bellingham has scored 20 goals in all competitions this season and has also provided 8 assists for his teammates.
Former Real Madrid player and manager Zidane remarked:
“You could have imagined what he was going to do, but he’s surpassed all the statistics with what he’s doing,” said Zidane.
“Don’t forget that he’s only 20 years old. He arrived at Real Madrid with a lot of desire, a lot of goals, and he is setting the bar very high. He’s just showing everyone what he is, and it’s great to see him like that. I’m a big fan of his, and now we want him to win trophies with Real Madrid. It’s everything he wanted for himself.”
This is a welcomed praise for Jude Bellingham, as he has always stated his love for Zinedine Zidane, even before he signed for Real Madrid.
“Zidane is one of the best midfielders in history. I hope to preserve the legacy of his number and his boots.”
Bellingham missed Real Madrid’s 1-0 win over RB Leipzig in the Champions League on Tuesday. He is expected to miss another two weeks of action. He picked up an ankle injury during the game against Girona last week.
Real Madrid struggled a little without Jude Bellingham in midfield last night against Leipzig.
Brahim Diaz’s amazing solo goal was enough to seal an away win for Los Blancos. Madridistas will be hoping Bellingham is fit and ready before the return leg at the Bernabéu.
Bellingham is also one of the favourites to the Ballon D’or this season. He will be hoping for a good run in Champions League in order to have a strong claim to the most coveted individual prize in football.
