German defender Antonio Rudiger will leave Chelsea at the end of the 2021/22 season. The former Roma star has been at the club since the 2017/18 season, signed by former boss Antonio Conte. Rudiger’s contract with Chelsea will end this summer and major sources have confirmed that he will not be renewing his deal at the club. Chelsea and Antonio Rudiger could not agree on terms, as the German wanted a substantial pay-rise. Rudiger has decided to leave the club as he cannot wait to sort out his future after the Chelsea takeover.

Real Madrid are leading the race to sign the former Roma defender.
Rudiger has won The Europa League, FA Cup, UEFA Champions League, Club World Cup, and Super Cup during his time at Chelsea. He could add to that haul if the blues beat Liverpool to the FA Cup trophy in May.
