United responded two minutes later. Nemanja Matic found Cristiano Ronaldo in the box with a sumptuous cross. Cristiano notched one back for Manchester United – scoring his 100th Premier League goal.

Manchester United could have drawn level after the were awarded a penalty in the second half. However, Bruno Fernandes’s strike could only hit the bottom left post.
