Barcelona have confirmed an agreement with Sevilla to sign Jules Kounde. The Catalans snapped up the Frenchman after weeks of negotiations and talks. Jules Kounde will join the club and sign a five-year deal until 2027. The deal is pending the player passing a medical and the signing of contracts

Barcelona have confirmed an agreement with Sevilla to sign Jules Kounde.

Barcelona were able to ward off competition from Chelsea even after the Londoners agreed a fee with Sevilla. Kounde will become an important cog in Barcelona’s machine as they hope to recapture the La Liga from Real Madrid.

The Paris born defender who has seen his career take off since his debut with Bordeaux in January 2018. His impressive performances for Girondins de Bordeaux saw Sevilla part with €25M for the young French defender. He will become Barcelona’s 6th summer signing after Lewandowski, Raphinha, Christensen, Pablo Torre, and Franck Kessie.
