Barcelona have offered AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie a 5-year contract worth €6.5m per annum. The former Atalanta man is seriously considering. Barça are moving unto another player that they could sign for free at the end of the season. The La Liga giants have other targets that could be on the move for free this summer like Chelsea duo, Andreas Christensen and Cesar Azpilicueta.
Kessie has arguably been AC Milan’s best midfielder since his initial loan move from Atalanta back in 2017. The Ivorian made his move permanent in 2019. Barça will be getting a proper midfielder who is very capable of doing the dirty work as well as the beautiful side of the game.
Franck Kessie has made it clear that he wishes to leave Milan this year. Despite interests from many Premier League clubs, he is very interested in Barcelona’s offer.
The 25-year-old interests Barça boss Xavi. The former Barça captain is pushing for the Ivorian’s signature this summer. Xavi is also keen on Chelsea’s Christensen who is also close to agreeing a deal with Barca.
Xavi and Barcelona are rebuilding their squad very effectively by targeting players they can get for free. January signings that the Catalans made have boosted hopes around the club with amazing performances, and they want more.
In the summer, Laporta is expected to bring in one big signing. Many expect that signing to be Erling Haaland, but adding the quality of Kessie will massively improve Barcelona’s quality in the middle of the park.
