Christensen Could Complete Move To Spain Soon

Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen looks set to leave Stamford Bridge this summer. The Danish defender has reportedly agreed on a deal with Barcelona. According to Fabrizio Romano Barça have made contact with Christensen and talks are now advanced.

Bayern are also still very much interested in signing the Chelsea academy graduate. The defender had previously agreed on a new deal with Chelsea, but talks broke down after he changed his agent.

Christensen has been at Chelsea since 2013. Andreas Christensen made his debut for Chelsea on the 28th of October 2014 in a 2-1 League Cup win over Shrewsbury Town.

The Dane was loaned out to Borussia Monchengladbach for two years where he developed into a fine defender. When he came back in 2017, Antonio Conte trusted him and he became an established member of the Chelsea squad.

Christensen has made over 100 appearances in all competitions for Chelsea and has only scored two goals.

He has won the FA Cup, Champions League, Europa League, Super Cup, and Club World Cup at the club.

Chelsea could lose more defenders at the end of this summer. Antonio Rudiger and Cesar Azpilicueta could still leave the club. The recent uncertainty with the ownership of the club will also not help the players in making up their minds.
