Bayern Munich have confirmed the signing of 30-year-old Tottenham striker Harry Kane. The English superstar has signed a four-year deal with the Bavarians, and is in line to play for Bayern Munich today in the Super Cup match against RB Leipzig.

The Spurs captain brings an end to a 20-year stay in North London to sign for Thomas Tuchel’s Bayern Munich. Kane started his career at Spurs and despite touring the lower divisions on loan, he broke into the Spurs team back in 2015/16, and hasn’t looked back since. He has since scored 213 league goals for Spurs, and is now outrightly the club’s record goalscorer, and the second-highest goalscorer in Premier League history.

Kane wants to challenge for big trophies, and the eagerness of Thomas Tuchel to bring the striker to the Bundesliga played a huge role in his decision.

“I’m very happy to be part of Bayern, one of the biggest clubs in the world and I’ve always said that I want to move and prove myself at the highest level in my career”

Harry Kane’s arrival is just as huge for the Bundesliga as it is for Bayern Munich. The club needed to land a major name since they lost Robert Lewandowski to Barcelona, and they have.

Kane could feature for Bayern as early as today, and he has an opportunity to land his first major trophy in his footballing career at the age of 30.
