Premier League fans must be tired of Manchester City… I mean, when will they stop? Well, strap in, you might have to endure one more season of undeniable greatness.

Manchester City can still win the treble this season. The Premier League champions are one point off the top of the Premier League table, in the FA Cup semi-final against an inconsistent Chelsea side, and are odds on favourite to win the Champions League again this season, especially after a first leg 3-3 draw away in Spain against Real Madrid.

Premier League

Manchester City are still favourites to win the Premier League this season, despite being 3rd at the moment with 7 matches to go. Manchester City will face Luton on Saturday. Followed by 6 Premier League matches against Tottenham, Brighton, Nottingham Forest, Wolves, Fulham and West Ham United.

On paper, Manchester City have the easiest run to the end of the season, and when it comes to Pep Guardiola’s team, the advantage “on-paper” is what they need most of the time.

FA Cup

Manchester City have not beaten Chelsea this season in their two Premier League matches. The Blues almost ended City’s unbeaten run if not for a late Rodri equalizer.

Some Chelsea fans might be a little hopeful, but Manchester City are still overwhelming favourites to advance to the FA Cup final. If they beat Chelsea, they will face either Manchester United or Coventry. Whichever team they face in the final, they would still be the favourites to win the FA Cup… again.

UEFA Champions League

It is always tricky predicting UEFA Champions League football, isn’t it? Especially when it involves Real Madrid.Carlo Ancelotti’s men showed the world yesterday that they can hurt Manchester City. As it stands, Real Madrid are the biggest obstacle to the dream of another treble this season for Manchester City.

If Los Blancos crumble at the Etihad like they did last season, Manchester City instantly become the “overwhelming” favourite to win the UEFA Champions League trophy again this season.

José Mourinho’s Inter Milan stopped Pep Guardiola from playing in the final of the Champions League in 2010 after he won it in Rome against Manchester United in 2009.

Roberto Di-Matteo’s Chelsea stopped the Spaniard from making it into the Champions League final in 2012 after Guardiola won it in 2011.

Unless a determined team really give it all to stop Guardiola, he and his Manchester City players will sneak into the final and probably win it again.

Mentality

Football is not about ‘hypotheticals’, however, we are talking about a team that has mastered the art of beautiful and effective football. Their Mentality is unbelievable.

For them to have arrived at this stage, still highly motivated after winning the treble less than a year ago, the club and Pep Guardiola have built arguably one of the strongest winning structure and dressing room culture the game has ever seen.
