It’s becoming increasingly likely that Chelsea will miss out on UEFA Champions League football for a third consecutive season. The Blues recently dropped points against Brentford and at home to Ipswich Town, squandering the slight advantage they had over Manchester City and Newcastle United in the Premier League table.
Since late December, Chelsea have struggled for consistency. A team that was once considered a potential title challenger are now likely to miss out on a place in the top 5, and the club’s transfer strategy aided their problems. Chelsea currently have a bloated squad filled with players who do not significantly improve the starting XI.
As the summer transfer window approaches, it’s time for the club to raise funds and clear out some underperforming Chelsea players.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall
One of the more questionable signings in recent memory, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has failed to establish himself in the Chelsea starting XI. Limited to appearances in cup competitions and the UEFA Conference League, he hasn’t made the desired impact in the Premier League.
Dewsbury-Hall simply hasn’t shown he’s Chelsea quality, and he is one of the most obvious names on the list of Chelsea players to sell in 2025.
Tosin Adarabioyo
Signed on a free last summer, Tosin Adarabioyo was brought in to add depth and experience to the backline. However, despite his Premier League experience, he has not shown enough quality to lead Chelsea’s defense.
If Chelsea decide to sell Tosin, they could gain up to £20–30 million — an excellent return they can reinvest during the summer transfer window.
Christopher Nkunku
With so much promise yet so little to show, Chelsea should consider cutting their losses and include him on the list of Chelsea players to sell 2025, especially while Nkunku still holds some market value.
Trevoh Chalobah

João Félix
The idea of João Félix always sounds better than the reality. After scoring on his second Chelsea debut, he faded quickly into the shadows of inconsistency. A few bright moments in cup matches weren’t enough to secure a regular role.
His loan move to AC Milan has only done further damage to his value as the Italian club are likely to send him back to West London.

Benoît Badiashile
Benoît Badiashile arrived from Monaco with high hopes, but he’s struggled with fitness and form.
The French defender has been inconsistent and often looks vulnerable under pressure, especially in high-intensity Premier League matches.

Axel Disasi
Currently on loan at Aston Villa, Axel Disasi has a 50/50 chance of making his move to Birmingham permanent. Disasi does not suit the tactical style preferred by Enzo Maresca.
