The 2022 BNP Paribas Open also known as Indian Wells Masters will begin on March 7 in Indian Wells, California. The tournament is the first Masters 1000 event of the season. And as a result, will feature top names in both the men’s and women’s draw.

WTA Entry List

The women’s entry list will feature all top 40 players in the singles rankings. With a number one seed, Australia’s Ashleigh Barty leads the pack of women going into the tournament. Following a three-set win over Victoria Azarenka at the 2021 edition, defending champion and world no. 5, Paula Badosa will look to replicate her performance which earned the biggest title win in her career.

In her wild card entry into the Indian Wells event, 2018 Indian Wells champion Naomi Osaka will return to where it all began. Several teenage tennis sensations will be competing in Tennis paradise for the second time, including Emma Raducanu, Coco Gauff, and Leylah Fernandez. Clara Tauson is another teen tennis phenom who will hope to leave a mark. She won her first WTA 1000 victory in Doha following her three-set win over Bencic.
