Tuchel Changed Chelsea’s Shape.

Thomas Tuchel had to deal with late COVID concerns for Thiago Silva and N’golo Kante ahead of Spurs visit to Stamford Bridge. He opted to start Saul Niguez alongside Jorginho and that move proved correct.

Tuchel revealed after the game that he had to switch to a back four because Thiago Silva was unavailable. Malang Sarr had a very good game as he was very calm throughout the match.

The French defender even tried to advance with the ball just like Anthony Rudiger. Rudiger also led the defense effectively against the likes of Harry Kane and Son.

Tuchel had to start Jorginho because Kante was not available. The Italian dictated the play alongside Saul Niguez in midfield. Saul was one of Chelsea`s best players against Spurs and fans noticed the Spaniard is getting comfortable in Tuchel’s system.

Tottenham were not allowed to play especially in the first half, Chelsea dominated everything and deserved their two goals.
