Manchester City are close to signing Athletico Miniero winger Savinho. The talented 17-year-old has many suitors from around Europe, but Arsenal and City are leading the race.

Savinho is a 17-year-old kid who made his debut for Atletico Mineiro as a 16-year-old.
He is the youngest Atletico Mineiro player to feature in the Brazilian League.

Arsenal have been following Savinho for quite a while now. The Gunners are trying to get their technical director Edu to convince the teenager to choose The Emirates over City.

City have agreed a fee with Mineiro for the youngster. According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Manchester City have agreed on a fee in the region of €6.5M. Atletico Mineiro have also inserted a sell-on clause in the deal.

Medical examinations and paperwork are still holding the deal back

Some sources believe Savinho will join Troyes on loan from City. The French club is also owned by the same group that owns Manchester City.

Savinho will join Kayky, Yan Couto, and Julian Alvarez in joining City from South American clubs.
