Memphis star guard, Ja Morant scored a franchise-record 52 points to lead the Memphis Grizzlies to a 118-105 victory over the San Antonio Spurs. He led all scorers in an aggressively dominant display of skill and elite-level finishing around the rim.

Ja’s Electrifying Performance

Ja Morant put up a super performance including 22 of 30 field goal attempts. His 52 points is a new Memphis Grizzlies scoring record. The win denied veteran Spurs coach Gregg Popovich a chance to tie Don Nelson’s NBA record for regular-season victories.

“He’s a beautiful player,” Popovich said about 22-year-old Morant. The Spurs defense had no answers for the explosive point guard, who was a menacing offensive presence from start to finish. However, this was no easy victory and Morant was the only player for the Grizzlies to hit double figures. That performance was still enough to defeat a well balanced San Antonio team that saw all starters in double figures.

Again, Ja Morant delighted the fans with a particularly eye-catching moment in an excellent individual display. He executed an incredible dunk over the Spurs 7-footer Jakob Poeltl. That was a major highlight in a night of highlights for the Memphis star. Ja has continued to increase his stock and reputation around the NBA with one top performance after another.
