Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes threw five touchdowns to lead the Chiefs to a 42-21 victory over the Steelers on Sunday night. This victory means the Chiefs are now two wins away from returning to the Super Bowl. The AFC picture is clearer now. The Titans will host the Bengals, while Chiefs host the Bills in the divisional round. 

Mahomes’ Big Night 

Mahomes finished with 404 yards and one interception.Jerick McKinnon led the team on the ground with 61 yards on 12 carries, while tight end Travis Kelce led the team with 108 yards adding to his single touchdown. After a scoreless first quarter, the Steelers struck first in the second as T.J. Watt benefited from a fumble and returned it to put Pittsburgh on the board. Their next score didn’t come until the third quarter when Roethlisberger found Diontae Johnson for a 13-yard TD.

The Chiefs replied to the Steelers touchdowns with three straight touchdown drives. Patrick Mahomes found Kelce for a 48-yard touchdown reception to put the Chiefs in the driving seat. He also threw touchdowns to Jerick McKinnon and Pringle. Mahomes began the second half by throwing two more touchdowns and the Chiefs never looked back. 

49ers survive Dallas comeback to advance. 

The 49ers survived a late rally by the Cowboys to claim a 23-17 victory. The San Francisco 49ers will face the top-seeded Packers in the NFC Divisional Round.
