Kylian Mbappe is so good that it’s easy to forget he’s still only 23. A World Cup winner at 19, he has sustained a level of excellence few others could ever match.
Watching France play and struggle to find openings against Denmark, one thing stood out. Every opportunity they created went towards the left. Theo Hernandez and Kylian Mbappe are becoming a formidable duo on the left side.
Mbappe’s Numbers
Mbappe has scored a ridiculous amount of goals for PSG. 190 goals in 237 appearances for the Club. All of this before he even turns 24.
His record for France isn’t too shabby either 31 in 61 games. There is almost an air of inevitability about him retiring with the French goal scoring record in his back pocket. A goal in every 1.3 games for his club and a goal every two games for his Country.
These are numbers only the absolute greatest could ever reach.
The fact that he could get even better must be a scary prospect. He is so vital for France, not just in his goalscoring but also his ability to strike fear in the hearts of opponents. His number one asset is undeniably his speed. One of the fastest players alive and he’s not slowing down.
For France to retain their World Cup title, they need Kylian Mbappe to continue to perform at the highest level.
We are going into a new decade of Mbappe and Haaland and it’s so beautiful to watch…
