Real Madrid have reached an agreement with French defender Ibrahima Konate for a four-year deal, in a move that will see the former Leipzig man swap Liverpool for Madrid this summer, if Florentino Perez gets re-elected as Real Madrid president.
After another shocking season at Real Madrid, where they failed to win any major trophy, the Spanish giants are looking to make changes, and Florentino Perez has already started working on the stars he wants to bring in to help reboot his Real Madrid side.

Jose Mourinho is also close to becoming the new Real Madrid boss if Florentino Perez gets reelected on June 7th. Perez is also working on signing Inter Milan right-back Denzel Dumfries as a direct replacement for the departing Carvajal.
Konate rejected a chance to extend his stay at Liverpool beyond this season after the club decided to sack manager Arne Slot. The Frenchman has been in contact with Madrid and some clubs in Saudi Arabia for months. According to some reports, he has already agreed a deal with a Saudi Arabian club, but he will pause that move if a move to Real Madrid becomes a reality.
President Florentino Perez’s reelection will determine the direction in which the club heads in terms of coach, signings, and other future plans.
