Chelsea and Manchester United served up a befitting finish to Premier League gameweek 31. Arsenal, City, Liverpool all win at the top of the table, Spurs and Aston Villa drop points. It remains interesting at the bottom, too, as victory for Nottingham Forest puts Luton back in real danger.
Let’s rank the top 5 best players from 2023/24 Premier League gameweek 31.
Rodri
Arguably the best player in the Premier League this season. Rodri has been unbelievable for Manchester City this season, and he keeps improving his performance as the season nears the end. Rodri effortlessly dictated the play for Manchester as they swept Unai Emery’s Aston Villa apart. He also scored the opening goal and provided an assist for hat-trick hero Phil Foden.
Morgan Gibbs-White
One of the best players in the bottom half of the Premier League table. Gibbs-White is developing his game with every match he plays at Forest, and he deserves a lot of credit for being reliable consistently in the middle of the park for his side. He scored a goal and also assisted Callum Hudson-Odoi for the opener in an impressive 3-1 home win against Fulham.

Alexis Mac Allister
Mac Allister is beginning to take more responsibility in a title-chasing Liverpool side. The Argentine was impressive once again last night against Sheffield United. Mac Allister scored Liverpool’s second goal with a thumper just right outside the box.
Cole Palmer
Cole Palmer was outstanding once again for Chelsea as they put on a late show to defeat Manchester United. The 21-year-old star scored Chelsea’s second goal from the spot before Manchester United turned the game around to lead 3-2 up until second half extra-time. Cole Palmer converted a penalty that Noni Madueke won before scoring a late winner to steal all 3 points.
Phil Foden
Foden has been Manchester City’s best attacker this season. The Englishman scored an impressive hat-trick to help Manchester City see off Aston Villa at the Etihad. Foden scored City’s second goal through a free-kick he won after John Duran cancelled out Rodri’s opener.
The 23-year-old benefited from Rodri’s neat work at the edge of Man City’s box by slotting City’s third. His third goal was a thumper from outside the box after Villa failed to clear the ball.
Phil Foden is the best player in Premier League gameweek 31 in the 2023/24 season.
