League action resumes after European football matches in midweek, and there are some very tasty matches to anticipate – Tossyardkings.com

The Champions League served up some great matches but we are back in the weekend groove. The array of top football matches around Europe this weekend is fantastic.

El-Classico will get massive limelight, but so will a heavyweight clash in England. Let’s dive in and check out some enticing matches for this weekend.

Barcelona vs Real Madrid

With the troubles that Barcelona have had this year, many don’t expect them to challenge for anything. However, the Catalans are just two points off their arch-rivals Real Madrid. Many will argue that this fixture has lost some appeal, but any El-Classico match is worth anticipating.

Barcelona players will want to show their fans that they can compete with Real Madrid, and Real will be looking to get another one over Barça.

Manchester United vs Liverpool

Cristiano Ronaldo and Manchester United will face a Liverpool side that have not lost this season. Although Liverpool have only won six times at Old Trafford in the Premier League era, United’s current league form will give them hope for this match.

Manchester United can draw inspiration from their 3-2 comeback win against Atalanta in midweek. Hopefully, their second-half performance against the Bergamo club will give them a boost ahead of Liverpool’s visit.

Inter Milan vs Juventus

Juventus look like they have gotten their groove back. Six wins on the bounce and Massimiliano Allegri’s men look very solid again. Despite their recent run, Juventus are still 7th on the Serie-A table.

Inter Milan are third on the table, but they’re 7 points off-table toppers, Napoli.

It will be a very interesting match because of the contrasting styles of Inzaghi and Allegri. Inter Milan coach loves attacking while Juventus like to defend and make use of counterattacks.

Roma vs Napoli

Napoli have been perfect in the Serie-A this season. The Partenopei have won all of their matches in the Serie-A this season. Luciano Spalletti’s men will go to Rome to face Roma knowing a victory will further cement their place as the team to beat in Italy this season.

Roma suffered an embarrassing defeat against Bodo/Glimt in the UEFA Conference League on Thursday.

With the confidence of the AS Roma players down, a victory against Napoli will get them believing again.

Roma will have to be aware of Napoli’s Victor Osimhen who has been in scintillating form this season.

Marseille vs PSG

Despite being 10 points behind PSG, Marseille have had a good start to their season in Ligue 1. Although they only have one win in their last five, they could cause PSG some problems.

PSG are topping the Ligue 1, but they have not been convincing this season. Pochettino’s men will have to be strong in other to win this match because the atmosphere is always hostile in “Le Classique.”

Ajax vs PSV

Ajax dispatched Dortmund 4-0, but PSV conceded a late winner against Monaco during the week.

After contrasting midweek results for both teams, the attention now turns to the Eredivisie. PSV are only one point away from Ajax and it will be all to play for on Sunday.

Atletico vs Real Sociedad

Just three points between first placed Real Sociedad and fourth-placed Atletico Madrid. Although Atletico have a game in hand, they will be looking to beat Real Sociedad at the Wanda Metropolitano.

There have been just two draws in the last 23 meetings between these two sides

This weekend is packed with lots of exciting football matches. All of these matches are on Sunday, so set that reminder now!
