PSG conceded an early goal from their former player Christopher Nkunku in the 8th minute. Although the Parisians responded as former Liverpool midfielder Georgino Wijnaldum scored a brace in the first half.

However, PSG failed to win as they conceded a late penalty that was converted by Dominik Szoboszalai.

Lionel Messi did not play for PSG tonight and in this match. 

The midfield play of PSG is so flawed that it doesn’t allow them to dominate games and that is the fault of the coach.

Against Leipzig, after a good first half, the German club dominated PSG in the second half and that gave them the belief that they could get an equalizer. Although Kylian Mbappe missed chances, the PSG midfield just didn’t dominate the match enough.

Liverpool Beat Atletico

Liverpool did not relinquish another two-goal lead as they did a fortnight ago instead, they dominated against Atletico Madrid. Two first-half goals from Diogo Jota and Sadio Mane was enough for the Merseyside club.

Jurgen Klopp and Simeone might have their own issues to sort out, but Liverpool showed dominance today once again. Atletico Madrid simply failed to turn up to the occasion. 

Liverpool have now qualified for the knockout stages as group winners and with two games to spare. 

Alexander-Arnold provided two assists for Liverpool. Jota scored a second, but it was ruled out for offside and Luis Suarez’s goal was also removed after the VAR review.

Atletico`s Filipe was sent off for a bad tackle on Sadio Mane and Atletico still have much to do if they are to qualify for the Round of 16.
