EPL Review
Chelsea comfortably beat Leicester away from home, Manchester United fumble again, Liverpool give Arsenal another thrashing at Anfield, amid so many entertaining EPL clashes today.
The Premier League is back with a bang as it has served maximum entertainment this matchday already. Chelsea and Leicester kickstarted the action for the day and the table-toppers didn’t disappoint away from home.
EPL Early Kick-off |Leicester 0 v 3 Chelsea|
The Blues dominated Leicester City at the King Power Stadium from start to finish. Antonio Rüdiger scored the opening goal for Chelsea after Ben Chilwell struck the crossbar earlier in the game.
Rüdiger connected well with Ben Chilwell’s corner kick to make the score 1-0 N’golo Kante added a fantastic second while Chelsea had to wait till the second half for Pulisic to wrap up the points.
The Blues were really impressive and they strengthen their lead at the top pending Manchester City’s result tomorrow.
Liverpool 4- 0 Arsenal
Liverpool thrashed Arsenal again at Anfield.
It was the same old story for the Gunners as they lose again at a ground they haven’t won at since 2012. Trent Alexandre Arnold claimed two assists against Arsenal to continue his remarkable form this season. The first of his assists came late in the first half as his free-kick found Sadio Mane who headed home from close range to give The Reds the lead.
Liverpool turned on the style in the second half as Arsenal were blown away. The Gunners had next to nothing against Liverpool and the Reds capitalized. Jota pounced on Tavares’s mistake to finish past Ramsdale calmly. Mane set up Salah for his 11th EPL goal of the season before Arnold found Minamino in the box for the Japanese forward to tap in.
Arsenal’s 10-game unbeaten run came to an end and it feels like the same story again for the Gunners. They just cannot compete with the big teams just yet.
Watford 4-1 Manchester United
At this point, it is useless describing what happened in Manchester United matches. It’s is just more horrendous defending and lack of confidence from the Mancunians. The international break didn’t change anything at Old Trafford and United stars look tired at best.
Watford capitalized on Manchester United’s weak defense. Sarr saw his early penalty saved by De Gea, but after that, United crumbled
Manchester United are now seventh on the log and witnessing their title challenge fade away as they find themselves 12 points behind leaders Chelsea after just 12 matches.
EPL Action is back… there will be more tomorrow.
