Incoming Everton boss Frank Lampard wants Donny Van De Beek on loan from Manchester United. Since moving to Manchester United in 2020, the Dutch midfielder has not been able to nail down a consistent place in the team.

Van de Beek is still finding game time hard to come by under Ralf Rangnick at Old Trafford. The 24-year-old Dutchman will secure a loan away from Manchester United this month. Crystal Palace are in pole position to sign Van de Beek, However, Lampard`s imminent arrival at Goodison park could swing the deal in Everton`s favor.

Lampard is expected to be confirmed as Everton’s new boss anytime soon, and although his arrival has not been announced, Lampard is already looking at options for The Toffees.  Van de Beek wants a guarantee of game time wherever he goes. The Dutchman wants to be able to challenge for a spot in the National team at Qatar 2022 World Cup. 

United will allow him to leave on loan, but will not sell him.

Manchester United have however maintained that Van de Beek will not be sold. The club want to appoint a new coach who will take a look at all the players in the summer.

Crystal Palace will try to seal the deal with Van de Beek as soon as possible, but Frank Lampard will also try to convince the Dutchman. Crystal Palace do not currently have problems with midfielders. Conor Gallagher has been one of the best players in the Premier League this season. However, Everton’s midfield needs improvement if they’re to start competing for a place in the top half of the season.

Whatever the decision will be, the game-time guarantee is what Van de Beek will be looking for.
