Former Chelsea Boss To Sign A 2-year Contract At Goodison Park

Former Chelsea manager Frank Lampard is set to be announced as the new Everton manager. Lampard was sacked by Chelsea a year ago, and since then, the former English midfielder has not managed anywhere. Lampard and Wayne Rooney were linked with the Everton job. However, the former Chelsea manager has been selected. Lampard’s main job will be to help The Toffees avoid the relegation battle after a horrendous run of results under Rafael Benitez.

Benitez lost the dressing room at Everton. Losing key players like Lucas Digne meant the fans wanted him out. Everton started the season trying to get back into Europe, but they will now be hoping that Frank Lampard can help them avoid being in any kind of relegation struggle.

Lampard will be back in the English top-flight for the first time since last year. The Chelsea legend was linked with the Norwich job, but he rejected the chance. He was also linked with Aston Villa before they appointed Gerrard.

Lampard will be looking to reunite the Everton Squad and get them firing again. Everton will face Chelsea in the Premier League at the end of April.
